How To Prepare Matcha Tea Correctly

There are two traditional ways to prepare Matcha tea; koicha and usucha. Koicha is a thick tea made from the highest grades of Matcha, and usucha is a thin tea made from lesser grades. The essential thing to remember when preparing Matcha is NEVER use boiling water as this ruins the flavour and destroys the nutrients, water should always be between 50 and 60 degrees. Matcha Tea, Apple and Papaya Smoothie

Ingredients: 100ml chilled apple juice 1/2 fresh papaya Sprig of fresh mint 1 tsp (1g) Brilliant Green Co Matcha tea powder 1 tsp cider vinegar (optional) (we recommend an authentic west country organic apple cider vinegar with "The Mother" to fully enjoy the benefits) Method Cut the papaya in half, peel and de-seed.
